  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

PHB / Prohibitin antibody was raised against recombinant human PHB / Prohibitin.
Recombinant (partial), C-terminal
Immunohistochemistry: LS-B1888 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-B1888 was determined to be 1:50.

Phosphate-buffered solution, pH 7.2, 0.09% sodium azide, 50% glycerol.
Store at -20°C. Aliquot to avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
For research use only.

About PHB / Prohibitin

P35232 NM_002634 NP_002625.1

PHB Antibody, PHB1 Antibody, Prohibitin Antibody

Prohibitin inhibits DNA synthesis. It has a role in regulating proliferation. As yet it is unclear if the protein or the mRNA exhibits this effect. May play a role in regulating mitochondrial respiration activity and in aging.

Anti-PHB / Prohibitin antibody IHC of human kidney. Immunohistochemistry of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue after heat-induced antigen retrieval. Antibody LS-B1888 dilution 1:50.

Western blot

Western blot
MCF7 cell extract was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose, and probed with rabbit anti-prohibitin antibody. Proteins were visualized using a donkey anti-rabbit secondary conjugated to HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system.
