Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to
worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting
immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.
TCR Screening Services
Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding.
Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".
Human, Mouse (tested or 100% immunogen sequence identity)
Rat, Bovine (at least 90% immunogen sequence identity)
Western blot (1:500 - 1:3000)
Specificity and Use
PFDN5 / MM1 antibody was raised against recombinant fragment corresponding to a region within amino acids 1 and 154 of prefoldin 5 (SwissProt Q99471). Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Mouse (100%); Rat (99%); Bovine (98%); Zebrafish (88%); Xenopus (85%).

PFDN5 / MM1 is a member of the prefoldin alpha subunit family. The encoded protein is one of six subunits of prefoldin, a molecular chaperone complex that binds and stabilizes newly synthesized polypeptides, thereby allowing them to fold correctly. The complex, consisting of two alpha and four beta subunits, forms a double beta barrel assembly with six protruding coiled-coils. The encoded protein may also repress the transcriptional activity of the proto-oncogene c-Myc.
