  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

PDYN / ProDynorphin antibody was raised against synthetic peptide corresponding to residues 232-245 of guinea pig proDynorphin.
Species Reactivity: Guinea Pig.
Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Immunohistochemistry: 1:500. Antiserum was used on perfusion fixed tissue. Perfusion: 1) calcium-free Tyrode's solution, 2) fixative, and 3) 10% sucrose in PBS as a cryo-protectant. Desired tissues were dissected and stored overnight in 10% sucrose in PBS. Slide-mounted tissue sections were processed for indirect immunofluorescence. Slides were incubated with blocking buffer for 1 hour at room temperature. Primary antiserum was diluted with blocking buffer to the appropriate working concentration. Blocking buffer was removed and slides were incubated for 18-24 hours at 4?C with primary antiserum. Slides were rinsed 3 times and then incubated with secondary antibodies for 1 hour at room temperature. Slides were again rinsed 3 times and coverslipped. Staining was examined using fluorescence microscopy.

0.05% sodium azide.
Long term: Add glycerol (40-50%) -20°C; Short term: +4°C

About PDYN / ProDynorphin

P01213 NM_024411 NP_077722.1

PDYN Antibody, ADCA Antibody, Beta-neoendorphin-dynorphin Antibody, Leumorphin Antibody, Preprodynorphin Antibody, Spinocerebellar ataxia 23 Antibody, PENKB Antibody, Prodynorphin Antibody, Rimorphin Antibody, SCA23 Antibody, Leu-enkephalin Antibody, Preproenkephalin B Antibody, Proenkephalin-B Antibody

PDYN / ProDynorphin is a preproprotein that is proteolytically processed to form the secreted opioid peptides beta-neoendorphin, dynorphin, leu-enkephalin, rimorphin, and leumorphin. These peptides are ligands for the kappa-type of opioid receptor. Dynorphin is involved in modulating responses to several psychoactive substances, including cocaine. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene.
