Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

PDPN / Podoplanin antibody was raised against synthetic peptide C-EKVDGDTQTTVEKD from an internal region of human PDPN / Podoplanin (NP_006465.3; NP_938203.2; NP_001006625.1; NP_001006626.1). Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla, Gibbon (100%).
LS-E27096 - Lyophilized - 100 µg - $145.00
aa187-200
Human PDPN / Podoplanin. This antibody is expected to recognize all isoforms (NP_006465.3; NP_938203.2; NP_001006625.1; NP_001006626.1).
Western Blot: Experiments gave bands at approx 25kD and 37kD in Human Brain (Cerebellum) lysates after 1 ug/ml antibody staining. The 37kD band corresponds to earlier findings in literature with different antibodies (Boucherot et al, Nephrol Dial Transplant. 2002 Jun;17(6):978-84; PMID: 12032185). This protein has a calculated MW of 24.9kD according to NP_006465.3. Recommended concentration: 1-3 ug/ml.

Packaging

Tris-buffered saline, pH 7.3, 0.5% BSA, 0.02% sodium azide

May be involved in cell migration and/or actin cytoskeleton organization. When expressed in keratinocytes, induces changes in cell morphology with transfected cells showing an elongated shape, numerous membrane protrusions, major reorganization of the actin cytoskeleton, increased motility and decreased cell adhesion. Required for normal lung cell proliferation and alveolus formation at birth. Induces platelet aggregation. Does not have any effect on folic acid or amino acid transport.

Western blot

Western blot
PDPN antibody (1 ug/ml) staining of Human Cerebellum lysate (35 ug protein in RIPA buffer). Primary incubation was 1 hour. Detected by chemiluminescence.
