Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Product Description

PAG1 antibody LS-C44850 is an unconjugated mouse monoclonal antibody to PAG1 from human and bovine. Validated for WB.
About PAG1
Negatively regulates TCR (T-cell antigen receptor)-mediated signaling in T-cells and FCER1 (high affinity immunoglobulin epsilon receptor)-mediated signaling in mast cells. Promotes CSK activation and recruitment to lipid rafts, which results in LCK inhibition. Inhibits immunological synapse formation by preventing dynamic arrangement of lipid raft proteins. May be involved in cell adhesion signaling. Q9NWQ8 NM_018440 NP_060910.3

Epitope
aa97-432
Specificity
Recognizes the transmembrane adaptor protein known as Protein Associated with Glycosphingolipid-enriched microdomains (PAG), an epitope (aa 235-280) located in the cytoplasmic domain of csk-binding protein (Cbp), which localizes in membrane lipid rafts. The engagement of immunoreceptors with natural ligands or antibodies is the initiating factor in a long line of events down a cytosolic signaling cascade. The transmission of signals along the various pathways within this cascade requires the phosphorylation of various substrates, by members of the src and syk families of protein tyrosine kinases (PTKs). Evidence has shown that by binding to the SH2 domain of the PTK csk, a major negative regulator of src-family kinases, PAG acts not only acts as a co-factor for relocating csk to substrate rich microdomains, but also increases the affinity of csk for src-family kinases, through the formation of PAG-csk complexes.
Usage
Western Blot: LS-C44850 detects a band of approximately 50 kD in Ramos cell lysates.
