Oxytocin antibody was raised against synthetic peptide DGCRTDPACDPES from the C-terminus (near) of mouse OXT / Oxytocin (NP_035155.1). Percent identity with other species by BLAST analysis: Mouse (100%), Rat (100%), Rabbit (85%), Pig (85%).
Mouse OXT / Oxytocin.
Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:16000. Western blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx 22kDa band in Mouse Liver and Lung lysates after 1 ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 12.9kDa according to NP_035155.1. The 22kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.

OXT Antibody, OXT-NPI Antibody, Oxytocin Antibody, OT Antibody, Oxytocin, prepropeptide Antibody, Oxytocin-neurophysin 1 Antibody, Neurophysin I Antibody, OT-NPI AntibodyOxytocin is a precursor protein that is processed to produce oxytocin and neurophysin I. Oxytocin is a posterior pituitary hormone which is synthesized as an inactive precursor in the hypothalamus along with its carrier protein neurophysin I. Together with neurophysin, it is packaged into neurosecretory vesicles and transported axonally to the nerve endings in the neurohypophysis, where it is either stored or secreted into the bloodstream.
