Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

  • Western blot (0.1 - 0.3 µg/ml)
  • ELISA (1:8000)

Specificity and Use

OX1R / Orexin Receptor 1 antibody was raised against peptide sequence C-RNWKRPSDQLGD from the internal region of orexin receptor-1 (NP_001516.1). Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla, Gibbon, Monkey, Marmoset (100%); Porcine, Dog, Rabbit (92%).
aa256-267
Specifically recognizes human orexin receptor-1 (OX1R), an approximate 48kD transmembrane protein and member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. Species sequence homology: mouse, canine, rat, sheep.
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. ELISA: 1:8000. Western Blot: 0.1-0.3 ug/ml, detects a band of approximately 48kD in human brain cell lysates. An additional 35kD band may be observed, confirmed by similar products.
