Rat TTF-1 recombinant protein.
Reactive with human and rat. Recognizes a 40kD protein, identified as thyroid transcription factor 1 (TTF-1), selectively expressed in the lung, thyroid and diencephalon. The antigen has been localized in the nucleus.

TTF-1 / Thyroid-Specific TF is a protein initially identified as a thyroid-specific transcription factor. The encoded protein binds to the thyroglobulin promoter and regulates the expression of thyroid-specific genes but has also been shown to regulate the expression of genes involved in morphogenesis.
