Synthetic NPY peptide conjugated to bovine thyroglobulin. Human Peptide YY shares 65% homology amino acid sequence for human NPY.
Specificity
Recognizes bovine Neuropeptide Y (NPY). Synthetic Peptide Cross-reactivity: somatostatin-14, leu-enkephalin, met-enkephalin, oxytocin, Agr8-vasopressin, vasoactive intestinal peptide, angiotensin II: <0.005%. Substance P: <0.02%. Peptide YY: ~36%. Bovine pancreatic polypeptide: ~0.05%. Human Peptide YY shares 65% homology amino acid sequence for human NPY. Species cross-reactivity: mouse and rat.

Usage
Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and RIA. Synthetic NPY completely abolishes radio-labeled NPY binding to NPY antibody in RIA and antibody binding to tissue antigen. Immunohistochemistry with frozen mouse and rat samples.
