Human myelin isolated from peripheral nervous system.
Specificity
Recognizes only myelin in the peripheral nervous system (PNS). In frozen sections it also reacts with myelin in the central nervous system (CNS). Is useful for studying myelination and demyelination processes in the PNS, and remyelination processes in the CNS as can be observed after trauma in multiple sclerosis. Reacts with a 43kD protein in immunoblot. Recommended for Peripheral nerve. Species cross-reactivity: Human.
