Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Immunogen
MSR1 / CD204 antibody was raised against synthetic peptide corresponding to aa 325-342 of human MSR1.
Epitope
aa325-342
Specificity
Recognizes the ~75 kD membrane glycoprotein human macrophage scavenger receptor (MSR) type 1. MSR1 has been shown to be expressed on microglia and Mato cells of the brain but not astrocytes or neurons.
Usage
Immunohistology: This product does not require protein digestion pre-treatment of paraffin sections. This product does not require antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections.
Presentation
Serum - liquid in glycine buffered saline, pH 7.4, 0.1% sodium azide.

About MSR1 / CD204
MSR1 / CD204 is the class A macrophage scavenger receptors, which include three different types (1, 2, 3) generated by alternative splicing of this gene. These receptors or isoforms are macrophage-specific trimeric integral membrane glycoproteins and have been implicated in many macrophage-associated physiological and pathological processes including atherosclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, and host defense.
