The Immunohistochemistry Antibody Company
Human (tested or 100% immunogen sequence identity)
MSH6 antibody was raised against a synthetic peptide, which represented a portion of human mutS homolog 6 encoded near the middle of exon 10 (LocusLink ID 2956).
Specific for human MSH6 protein. Species cross-reactivity: reacts with human. Other species have not been tested. The peptide used for antibody production does not share sequence homology to any infra primates, therefore, reactivity is unlikely.
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Positive control: TK6 whole cell lysates.
For research use only.
MSH6 Antibody, GTBP Antibody, HSAP Antibody, GTMBP Antibody, MutS (E. coli) homolog 6 Antibody, HMSH6 Antibody, Sperm-associated protein Antibody, p160 Antibody, G/T mismatch-binding protein Antibody, HNPCC5 Antibody, MutS homolog 6 (E. coli) Antibody, MutS-alpha 160 kDa subunit AntibodyComponent of the post-replicative DNA mismatch repair system (MMR). Heterodimerizes with MSH2 to form MutS alpha, which binds to DNA mismatches thereby initiating DNA repair. When bound, MutS alpha bends the DNA helix and shields approximately 20 base pairs, and recognizes single base mismatches and dinucleotide insertion-deletion loops (IDL) in the DNA.
