Specificity and Use
Melanoma Associated Antigen.
Recognizes the Melanoma Associated Antigen, a molecular complex consisting of two bands with MW of 150kD and 90kD respectively (reduced 4 subunits 120kD, 95kD, 29kD and 25kD). Reacts strongly with melanoma cells derived from cell lines and short term cultures. Reacts with a proportion of nevi and with endothelial cells of small vessels.
Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): 1:5-1:10 diluted in PBS. Stain by regular immunoperoxidase and immunofluorescence tests. Reacts preferentially with melanoma cells in frozen tissue sections.

May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
