  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

LRP5 antibody was raised against synthetic peptide derived from the C-terminal region of the human LRP5 protein. This intracellular region is identical to the corresponding mouse and rat LRP5 amino acid sequences.
Recognizes human LRP5 protein. Western Blot tests using negative control mock pSEC-tag-transfected 293T cell lysates did not yield the target band. Species cross-reactivity: Mouse.
Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence and Western Blot. Immunofluorescence: 2-3 ug/ml; Note: For optimal results in immunofluorescence assays, cells should be fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde/0.5% Triton X-100/PBS for 10 minutes, permeabilized with 0.5% Triton X-100/PBS for 5 minutes, and blocked with 5% BSA/PBS for 30 minutes. Western Blot: 1-3 ug/ml; Single band at ~200kD. Positive control: Mouse LRP5-pSEC-tag-transfected 293T cells, MCF-7 human breast adenocarcinoma, T47D human breast ductal carcinoma, and NIH-3T3 mouse embryo fibroblast lysates.

PBS, pH 7.4, 0.1% sodium azide, 40% glycerol.
Long term: -20°C; Short term: +4°C. Avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

Component of the Wnt-Fzd-LRP5-LRP6 complex that triggers beta-catenin signaling through inducing aggregation of receptor-ligand complexes into ribosome-sized signalsomes. Cell-surface coreceptor of Wnt/beta-catenin signaling, which plays a pivotal role in bone formation.
