  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

About LGALS1 / Galectin 1

P09382 NM_002305 NP_002296.1

LGALS1 Antibody, 14 kDa lectin Antibody, 14 kDa laminin-binding protein Antibody, 14 kd lectin Antibody, GAL1 Antibody, Galectin 1 Antibody, Galectin-1 Antibody, HBL Antibody, Lactose-binding lectin 1 Antibody, Galaptin Antibody, GBP Antibody, HLBP14 Antibody, HPL Antibody, S-Lac lectin 1 Antibody, Gal-1 Antibody

May regulate apoptosis, cell proliferation and cell differentiation. Binds beta-galactoside and a wide array of complex carbohydrates. Inhibits CD45 protein phosphatase activity and therefore the dephosphorylation of Lyn kinase. Strong inducer of T-cell apoptosis.

Galectin-1 in Mouse Thymus. Galectin-1 was detected in perfusion fixed frozen sections of mouse thymus using Goat Anti-Mouse Galectin-1 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody at 5 ug/ml overnight at 4°C. Tissue was stained using Anti-Goat HRP-DAB (brown) and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue). Specific labeling was localized to the cytoplasm of lymphocytes.

Flow Cytometry

Flow Cytometry
Detection of Galectin-1 in Mouse Splenocytes by Flow Cytometry. Mouse splenocytes were stained with Rat Anti-Mouse CD3 APC-conjugated Monoclonal Antibody and either (A) Normal Goat IgG Control or (B) Goat Anti-Mouse Galectin-1 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody followed by Phycoerythrin-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody. To facilitate intracellular staining, cells were fixed with paraformaldehyde and permeabilized with saponin.
