Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Applications

  • IHC - Paraffin (1:50 - 1:100)
  • IHC - Frozen
  • Flow Cytometry

Specificity and Use

Synthetic peptide corresponding to the last 15 residues of extreme C-terminus of human keratin 14 (Thyroglobulin coupled).
C-Terminus
Recognizes human Cytokeratin 14.
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry. Flow Cytometry: 10 ul per test. Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin sections or frozen tissues): Recommended to either microwave treat fixed tissue sections or use high temperature antigen unmasking technique. Prior exposure of fixed tissues to enzyme (trypsin) digestion is deleterious to epitope expression. The fixative recommended for use is neutral buffered formalin. The applications listed have been tested for the unconjugated form of this product. Other forms have not been tested.

Packaging

PBS, 0.09% sodium azide, 1% BSA.
Short term 4°C, long term aliquot and store at -20°C, avoid freeze thaw cycles. Sensitive to light.
For research use only.

KRT14 / CK14 / Cytokeratin 14 is a member of the keratin family, the most diverse group of intermediate filaments. This gene product, a type I keratin, is usually found as a heterotetramer with two keratin 5 molecules, a type II keratin. Together they form the cytoskeleton of epithelial cells. Mutations in the genes for these keratins are associated with epidermolysis bullosa simplex. At least one pseudogene has been identified at 17p12-p11.

Immunohistochemistry

Immunohistochemistry
Anti-KRT14 / Keratin 14 antibody IHC of human skin epidermis. Immunohistochemistry of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue after heat-induced antigen retrieval. Antibody LS-C22642 dilution 1:50-1:100. This image was taken for the unconjugated form of this product. Other forms have not been tested.
