  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

KLK5 / Kallikrein 5 antibody was raised against peptide corresponding to aa 280-293 of human KLK5 protein.
the gene product hk5 of human KLK5 (also known as KLK-L2), one of the many kallikrein serine proteases associated with carcinogenesis. KLK5 is upregulated by estrogens and progestins and is expressed in breast, brain, and testis

KLK5 Antibody, Kallikrein 5 Antibody, Kallikrein-related peptidase 5 Antibody, KLK-L2 Antibody, KLKL2 Antibody, Kallikrein-5 Antibody, Stratum corneum tryptic enzyme Antibody, Kallikrein-like protein 2 Antibody, SCTE Antibody

Kallikreins are a subgroup of serine proteases having diverse physiological functions. Growing evidence suggests that many kallikreins are implicated in carcinogenesis and some have potential as novel cancer and other disease biomarkers. This gene is one of the fifteen kallikrein subfamily members located in a cluster on chromosome 19. Its expression is up-regulated by estrogens and progestins. The encoded protein is secreted and may be involved in desquamation in the epidermis.
