  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

KIR2DL5A / KIR2DL5 antibody was raised against human KIR2DL5A
This UP-R1 antibody has been pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. This can be used at 5 ul (0.125 ug)/per test. A test is defined as the amount (ug)/test of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 ul. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. Please note: There is significant donor variability observed. Only a small percentage of donors tested showed bright staining; all others were completely negative. The applications listed have been tested for the unconjugated form of this product. Other forms have not been tested.

Aqueous buffer, 0.09% sodium azide, contains stabilizer if necessary
Store at +4°C. Do not freeze. Product is photosensitive and should be protected from light.

About KIR2DL5A / KIR2DL5

Q8N109 NM_020535 NP_065396.1

KIR2DL5A Antibody, CD158f1 antigen Antibody, CD158F Antibody, CD158F1 Antibody, KIR2DL5.3 Antibody, Killer-cell Ig-like receptor Antibody, KIR2DL5.1 Antibody, KIR2DL5 Antibody

Killer cell immunoglobulin-like receptors (KIRs) are transmembrane glycoproteins expressed by natural killer cells and subsets of T cells. The KIR genes are polymorphic and highly homologous and they are found in a cluster on chromosome 19q13.4 within the 1 Mb leukocyte receptor complex (LRC). The gene content of the KIR gene cluster varies among haplotypes, although several "framework" genes are found in all haplotypes (KIR3DL3, KIR3DP1, KIR3DL4, KIR3DL2).

Flow Cytometry

Flow Cytometry
Staining of normal human peripheral blood cells with FITC anti-human CD56 (MEM188) (LS-C105850) and 0.125 ug of PE Mouse IgG1, K isotype control (left) or PE anti-human CD158f (UP-R1) (right). Cells in the lymphocyte gate were used for analysis. This image was taken for the unconjugated form of this product. Other forms have not been tested.
