  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

KDELR2 antibody was raised against a 21 residue synthetic peptide aa192-212 CDFFYLYITKVLKGKKLSLPA based on the bovine KDEL receptor (KLH). Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla, Gibbon, Monkey, Marmoset, Mouse, Rat, Xenopus, Hamster, Elephant, Porcine, Dog, Bat, Bovine, Horse, Rabbit (100%); Zebrafish, Caligus, Seq squirt, Drosophila, Catfish, Mosquito, Salmon, Ant, Stickleback, Turkey, Water flea, Body louse, Chicken, Opossum, Platypus, Beetle, Salmon louse (95%).
Recognizes bovine KDEL at ~25kD. Species cross-reactivity: human, monkey, mouse, rat, hamster, rabbit, porcine, sheep, canine, chicken, Drosophila and Xenopus.
Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry and Immunoprecipitation. Western Blot (Colorimetric): 1:125. Immunocytochemistry: 1:500. Positive control: HeLa Heat Shocked Cell Lysate, H1838-01.

Supplied as a liquid in PBS, 0.09% azide, 40% glycerol.
Long term: -20°C; Short term: +4°C. Avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

About KDELR2

KDELR2 Antibody, ERD2-like protein 1 Antibody, ERD2.2 Antibody, ERD-2-like protein Antibody, KDEL receptor 2 Antibody, ELP-1 Antibody

Retention of resident soluble proteins in the lumen of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) is achieved in both yeast and animal cells by their continual retrieval from the cis-Golgi, or a pre-Golgi compartment. Sorting of these proteins is dependent on a C-terminal tetrapeptide signal, usually lys-asp-glu-leu (KDEL) in animal cells, and his-asp-glu-leu (HDEL) in S. cerevisiae.
