  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

IL3RA / CD123 antibody was raised against cTLL cells transfected with mouse CD123.
Recognizes murine CD123, which is the 70kD alpha chain of the interleukin-3 receptor (IL-3R). CD123 is expressed on hematopoietic progenitors and most myeloid cells including basophils and mast cells. Certain mouse strains including A/J, AKR/J and NZB/B1NJ are reported to have low levels of CD123 expression due to aberrant splicing of the IL-3R alpha subunit gene. In mouse, CD123 can associate with either the common beta subunit CDw131 or with the murine IL-3 beta subunit to form a high affinity receptor for IL-3. IL-3 can bind to CD123 itself but with low affinity. Binding of IL-3 to the IL-3 receptor complex induces the proliferation and differentiation of hematopoietic cells. Clone 5B11 does not block the binding of IL-3 to the high affinity IL-3 receptor.
Flow Cytometry: Use 10 ul of the suggested working dilution to label 10^6 cells in 100 ul. Method sheets are available on request.

IL3RA / CD123 is an interleukin 3 specific subunit of a heterodimeric cytokine receptor. The receptor is comprised of a ligand specific alpha subunit and a signal transducing beta subunit shared by the receptors for interleukin 3 (IL3), colony stimulating factor 2 (CSF2/GM-CSF), and interleukin 5 (IL5). The binding of this protein to IL3 depends on the beta subunit. The beta subunit is activated by the ligand binding, and is required for the biological activities of IL3.
