Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

IL1RL1 antibody was raised against a 16 amino acid synthetic peptide located near mouse ST2 amino-terminus. This peptide is common to the three known isoforms of ST2. ( N-TERMINAL ).
N-Terminal
Recognizes an epitope within the N-Terminal region (NT) of mouse ST2, a member of the Toll-interleukin 1 receptor (TIR) superfamily, expressed by mast cells and TH2 helper cells, but not by TH1 effector cells. The majority of TIR superfamily members, which includes the Interleukin-1 receptor (IL-1R1), Toll-like receptors (TLRs) and the cytosolic adaptor proteins MyD88, TIRAP, Trif and TRAM, initiate innate immunity through the ultimate activation of the transcription factor NF-kappaB and are inducers of the inflammatory response. In contrast ST2, which itself is unable to activate NF-kappaB, has been identified as a negative regulator of IL-1R1 and TLR4 signaling by sequestering MyD88 and TIRAP in line with its role as a crucial receptor in TH2-cell mediated responses and.
Western Blot: LS-C43164 detects a band of approximately 45kD in mouse kidney cell lysates. (Predicted MW. 62 kD).

IL1RL1 is a member of the interleukin 1 receptor family. Studies of the similar gene in mouse suggested that this receptor can be induced by proinflammatory stimuli, and may be involved in the function of helper T cells. This gene, interleukin 1 receptor, type I (IL1R1), interleukin 1 receptor, type II (IL1R2) and interleukin 1 receptor-like 2 (IL1RL2) form a cytokine receptor gene cluster in a region mapped to chromosome 2q12.
