Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Product Description

IL17 antibody LS-B4912 is an unconjugated rat monoclonal antibody to mouse IL17. Validated for ELISA, Flow, IHC and WB. Tested on 20 paraffin-embedded human tissues.
About IL17
Interleukin 17 is a cytokine that acts as a potent mediator in delayed-type reactions by increasing chemokine production in various tissues to recruit monocytes and neutrophils to the site of inflammation, similar to Interferon gamma. IL-17 is produced by T-helper cells and is induced by IL–23 which results in destructive tissue damage in delayed-type reactions.

Immunogen
IL17 antibody was raised against e. coli-expressed, recombinant mouse IL-17A
Specificity
Recognizes mouse Interleukin 17, a 32kD disulfide-linked homodimer consisting of two 136 amino acid chains, which belong to the IL-17 family (classified as IL-17A to IL-17F), and signal through the IL-17 receptor (IL-17R/CDw217). IL-17 is produced primarily by activated CD4+ T cells and induces a variety of target cells to secrete inflammatory cytokines, including IL-1beta, IL-6, TNFalpha, IFNgamma and granulocyte colony-stimulating factor, as well as synergizing with other inflammatory cytokines and agonists. The role of IL-17 in bone metabolism has become a focus area for studies into Rheumatoid Arthritis, in which levels of IL-17 are significantly increased and may contribute to bone destruction.
Usage
