Specificity
Recognizes an epitope common to IFN-alpha subtypes A, F, D, I1 and P. Strongest reaction in ELISA is with subtypes alpha F and alpha D. It has an affinity constant of 2.4 x 10-10M. Has bee used successfully for the immunohistochemical detection of interferon-alpha producing cells on cryostat sections in a human suction blister model.
