Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Product Description

Glucagon-Like Peptide 1 antibody LS-C23833 is an unconjugated mouse monoclonal antibody to human Glucagon-Like Peptide 1 (GLP1). Validated for ELISA and WB.
About GLP1 / Glucagon-Like Peptide 1
Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) is an incretin derived from the transcription product of the proglucagon gene. The major source of GLP-1 in the body is the intestinal L cell that secretes GLP-1 as a gut hormone. The biologically active forms of GLP-1 are: GLP-1-(7-37) and GLP-1-(7-36)NH2. Those peptides result from selective cleavage of the proglucagon molecule.

Applications
  • Western blot (1:2000)
  • ELISA (1:4000)
Immunogen
Synthetic GLP-1 (7-36) amide coupled to carrier and adsorbed onto ammonium hydroxide gel. Epitope: Mid-molecule of GLP-1.
Specificity
Recognizes all forms of human GLP-1, including precursor and GLP-1(9-37) /GLP-1(9-36 amide) metabolite. Cross-reacts with Liraglutide.
Usage
ELISA: Binds to GLP-1 when coated directly onto the microtiter well, and binds GLP-1 (7-36) amide in solution giving a Ka of 4.0x10e8 in inhibition ELISA. Cross-reacts <0.4% with coated glucagon. In inhibition ELISA, no binding of free glucagon in solution is detected, giving an estimated cross-reactivity of <0.2%. Western Blot: 1:2000.
Presentation
PBS, pH 7.4, 15 mM sodium azide, before the addition of glycerol to 40%
Storage
Short term: 4°C. Long term: Store at -20°C. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
