  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

EZR / Ezrin antibody was raised against a recombinant fragment of human ezrin corresponding to amino acid 362-585.
With a protein of 81 kD. Ezrin serves as a tyrosine kinase substrate and is phosphorylated in EGF-stimulated cells. Ezrin is a cytoplasmic protein enriched in microvilli and other cell surfaces. Ezrin has an actin-binding capacity. Ezrin is expressed in epithelial cells but not in mesenchymal cells. Ezrin is also expressed by certain epithelial tumors, such as renal cell adenocarcinomas. This antibody cross reacts with monkey, cow, kangaroo, rat, mouse and hamster.

The cytoplasmic peripheral membrane protein encoded by this gene functions as a protein-tyrosine kinase substrate in microvilli. As a member of the ERM protein family, this protein serves as an intermediate between the plasma membrane and the actin cytoskeleton. This protein plays a key role in cell surface structure adhesion, migration and organization, and it has been implicated in various human cancers. A pseudogene located on chromosome 3 has been identified for this gene.
