Specificity and Use
Exendin 4 antibody was raised against carrier-coupled exendin-4.
Raised against full length (1-39) synthetic exendin-4 peptide, amino acid sequence: H-His-Gly-Glu-Gly-Thr-Phe-Thr-Ser-Asp-Leu-Ser-Lys-Gln-Met-Glu-Glu-Glu-Ala-Val-Arg-Leu-Phe-Ile-Glu-Trp-Leu-Lys-Asn-Gly-Gly-Pro-Ser-Ser-Gly-Ala-Pro-Pro-Pro-Ser-NH2. The epitope is in the 9-39 region. Recognizes Exendin 4. No crossreactivity with GLP-1, GLP-2 (human) or glucagon coated on ELISA wells. Full reaction with Exendin 4 when coated on ELISA wells showing an epitope in the 9-39 region. Reacts specifically with Exendin 4 in solution giving a Ka of 1.6x10e8 in an inhibition ELISA. The binding between LS-C65804 and Exendin 4 is disrupted by 4.5M MgCl2.
