  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

EMD / Emerin antibody was raised against synthetic peptide from human EMD.
LS-E30307 - Liquid - 50 µg - $145.00
19 amino acid peptide from near the amino terminus of human Emerin.
Immunohistochemistry: LS-B565 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-B565 was determined to be 2.5 ug/ml.

PBS, 0.02% sodium azide.
Short term 4°C, long term aliquot and store at -20°C, avoid freeze thaw cycles. Store undiluted.

About EMD / Emerin

P50402 NM_000117 NP_000108.1

EMD Antibody, EDMD Antibody, Emerin Antibody, LEM domain containing 5 Antibody, LEMD5 Antibody, STA Antibody

Stabilizes and promotes the formation of a nuclear actin cortical network. Stimulates actin polymerization in vitro by binding and stabilizing the pointed end of growing filaments. Inhibits beta-catenin activity by preventing its accumulation in the nucleus. Acts by influencing the nuclear accumulation of beta-catenin through a CRM1-dependent export pathway. Links centrosomes to the nuclear envelope via a microtubule association. EMD and BAF are cooperative cofactors of HIV-1 infection.

Anti-EMD / Emerin antibody IHC of human prostate. Immunohistochemistry of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue after heat-induced antigen retrieval. Antibody LS-B565 concentration 5 ug/ml.

Immunofluorescence of Emerin in Human Skeletal Muscle cells with Emerin antibody at 5 ug/ml.

Western blot

Western blot
Western blot of Emerin in human skeletal muscle tissue lysate with Emerin antibody at (A) 0.5 and (B) 1 ug/ml.
