Specificity and Use
DFFA / ICAD / DFF45 antibody was raised against synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 2-21 of mouse ICAD ( N-TERMINAL ).
ICAD (Inhibitor of Caspase-Activated Dnase) is the murine homologue of human DFF-45. ICAD is cleaved by Caspase-3, releasing CAD which eventually causes degradation of DNA in the nucleus. AHP484 recognizes a 45kD band in Western blots.

Apoptosis is related to many diseases and induced by a family of cell death receptors and their ligands.
