Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

CTLA4 / CD152 antibody was raised against human CTLA-4/human IgG heavy chain fusion protein (CTLA-4/Ig).
Extracellular Domain
Recognizes CD152 (CTAL-4). The "cytolytic T-lymphocyte-associated antigen 4" (CTLA-4) is a member of the Ig superfamily and its extracellular domain exhibits a single Ig V-like region. It was originally identified as a fourth cDNA product, during a search for genes that were thought to be specifically expressed in cytotoxic T lymphocytes. CTLA-4 has a molecular weight close to 45kD. It is mainly expressed as a monomer, but may also be expressed as a disulfide-linked homodimer. CTLA-4 belongs to the CD28 receptor family.
Suitable for use in flow cytometry, Immunohistochemistry None Detected Immunofluorescence. Flow cytometry: after in vitro activation of T cells with selected stimuli (Concanavalin A, or solid-phase fixed-CD3 + CD28 Mabs stimulation). Immunohistochemistry: 2 ug/5x10^5 cells/test. (frozen tissue sections)5-50 ug/ml. Immunofluorescence:2 ug/5x10^5 cells/test.

CTLA4 / CD152 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and encodes a protein which transmits an inhibitory signal to T cells. The protein contains a V domain, a transmembrane domain, and a cytoplasmic tail. Alternate transcriptional splice variants, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized. The membrane-bound isoform functions as a homodimer interconnected by a disulfide bond, while the soluble isoform functions as a monomer.
