  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

CTLA4 / CD152 antibody was raised against stimulated human PBL’s and human CD152 Ig fusion protein.
CTLA-4 expressed on activated T cells.
Function: ANC152.2 blocks binding of CD152 (CTLA-4) Ig fusion protein to its CD80/CD86 receptor, and has been reported to modulate suppressive function of human T Regulatory Cells in Vitro. ANC152.2 can bind to intracellular CD152 in fixed permeabolized cells. The F(ab')2 form has been used to inhibit proliferation of activated T cells in vitro in a cholera toxin model.

CTLA4 / CD152 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and encodes a protein which transmits an inhibitory signal to T cells. The protein contains a V domain, a transmembrane domain, and a cytoplasmic tail. Alternate transcriptional splice variants, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized. The membrane-bound isoform functions as a homodimer interconnected by a disulfide bond, while the soluble isoform functions as a monomer.
