Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

CST3 / Cystatin C antibody was raised against kLH-PEG with terminal methoxy group was used as an immunogen. This recognizes the terminal methoxy group of the PEG molecule. Anti-PEG-47-Biotin is prepared by the biotinylation of the via primary amines.
This detects human Cystatin C, a member of the type 2 cystatin superfamily. Cystatin C is a potent inhibitor of cysteine proteinases, both endogenous (lysosomal cathepsins), and pathogenic.

The cystatin superfamily encompasses proteins that contain multiple cystatin-like sequences. Some of the members are active cysteine protease inhibitors, while others have lost or perhaps never acquired this inhibitory activity. There are three inhibitory families in the superfamily, including the type 1 cystatins (stefins), type 2 cystatins and the kininogens.
