  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

CST3 / Cystatin C antibody was raised against mouse myeloma cell line NS0-derived recombinant human Cystatin C Ser27-Ala146 Accession # P01034.
Detects human Cystatin C in direct ELISAs and Western blots. In direct ELISAs and Western blots, approximately 50% cross-reactivity with.
Western Blot, 0.1 µg/ml, Recombinant Human Cystatin C. Immunohistochemistry, 5-15 µg/ml. Immunoprecipitation, 25 µg/ml, Conditioned cell culture medium spiked with Recombinant Human Cystatin C. Neutralization, Measured by its ability to neutralize Recombinant Human Cystatin C (0.64 µg/ml) inhibition of. Papain (0.1 µg/ml) cleavage of the fluorogenic peptide substrate Z-F R-AMC (100 uM). The Neutralization Dose (ND50) is typically 7.8 µg/ml.

The cystatin superfamily encompasses proteins that contain multiple cystatin-like sequences. Some of the members are active cysteine protease inhibitors, while others have lost or perhaps never acquired this inhibitory activity. There are three inhibitory families in the superfamily, including the type 1 cystatins (stefins), type 2 cystatins and the kininogens.

Cystatin C in Human Breast. Cystatin C was detected in immersion fixed paraffin-embedded sections of human breast using 5 ug/ml Human Cystatin C Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody overnight at 4°C. Tissue was stained with Anti-Goat HRP-DAB (brown) and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue). Specific labeling was localized to the cytoplasm in cells of terminal ductules.
