Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Applications

IHC - Frozen, ICC, Immunofluorescence (1:20 - 1:50), Western blot (1:50 - 1:1000), Immunoprecipitation

Specificity and Use

COPB1 / Beta-COP antibody was raised against full length native Microtubule-associated protein preparation purified from goose brain.
Recognizes an epitope shared by the beta-COP protein (110kD) found in most tissue culture cells and a high MW doublet of brain microtubule-associated protein (MAP 2, 270-300kD). Species cross-reactivity: Human, monkey, bovine, canine, rat, rat kangaroo, hamster, chicken, and goose.
Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation Immunofluorescence, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunohistochemistry. Western Blot: 1:50-1:1000. Immunofluorescence: 1:20-1:50 (CHO cells). Stains a reticular structure in the perinuclear area of non-neuronal cells (the periphery of the Golgi complex and a population of vesicles scattered throughout the cytoplasm. Stacked Golgi membranes from rat liver extract. Immunohistochemistry: Frozen sections.

Packaging

Ascites, 0.1% sodium azide.
Long term: Add glycerol (40-50%) -20°C; Short term: +4°C

About COPB1 / Beta-COP

COPB1 Antibody, Beta COP Antibody, Beta coat protein Antibody, Beta-coat protein Antibody, Beta-COP Antibody, Coatomer beta subunit Antibody, Coatomer subunit beta Antibody, COPB Antibody

The coatomer is a cytosolic protein complex that binds to dilysine motifs and reversibly associates with Golgi non-clathrin-coated vesicles, which further mediate biosynthetic protein transport from the ER, via the Golgi up to the trans Golgi network. Coatomer complex is required for budding from Golgi membranes, and is essential for the retrograde Golgi-to-ER transport of dilysine-tagged proteins.
