  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

CD99 antibody was raised against hPB MLT T cell line.
Recognizes the human CD99 cell surface antigen, also known as T-cell surface glycoprotein E2, Protein MIC2, E2 antigen or 12E7. CD99 is a single pass type-1 transmembrane glycoprotein, expressed by T cells, NK cells and myeloid cells. CD99 is generally absent on B cells. Was clustered along with clones MEM-131, HIT4, HI147, HI170 and D44 at the Fifth leucocyte typing conference and workshop to CD99R, a restricted epitope cluster on the CD99 gene product. Other clones including L129, 12E7 and bind to a less restricted epitope of the CD99 gene product.
Flow Cytometry: Use 10 ul of the suggested working dilution to label 10^6 cells in 100 ul. Method sheets are available on request.

Ascites, 0.09% sodium azide.
Long term: -20°C; Short term: +4°C. Avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

CD99 is a cell surface glycoprotein involved in leukocyte migration, T-cell adhesion, ganglioside GM1 and transmembrane protein transport, and T-cell death by a caspase-independent pathway. In addition, the encoded protein may have the ability to rearrange the actin cytoskeleton and may also act as an oncosuppressor in osteosarcoma. Cyclophilin A binds to CD99 and may act as a signaling regulator of CD99.
