  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

CD8A / CD8 Alpha antibody was raised against human CD8A
This HIT8a antibody has been pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of human peripheral blood leukocytes. This can be used at 20 ul (0.5 ug)/per test. A test is defined as the amount (ug)/test of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 ul. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test.

PBS, pH 7.2, 150 mM sodium chloride, 0.09% sodium azide, 0.2% BSA
Store at +4°C. Do not freeze. Product is photosensitive and should be protected from light.

About CD8A / CD8 Alpha

P01732 NM_001768 NP_001759.3

CD8A Antibody, CD8a molecule Antibody, CD8a antigen Antibody, OKT8 T-cell antigen Antibody, Leu2 T-lymphocyte antigen Antibody, T8 T-cell antigen Antibody, T cell co-receptor Antibody, p32 Antibody, CD8 Antibody, Leu2 Antibody, T-cell antigen Leu2 Antibody

The CD8 antigen is a cell surface glycoprotein found on most cytotoxic T lymphocytes that mediates efficient cell-cell interactions within the immune system. The CD8 antigen acts as a coreceptor with the T-cell receptor on the T lymphocyte to recognize antigens displayed by an antigen presenting cell in the context of class I MHC molecules. The coreceptor functions as either a homodimer composed of two alpha chains or as a heterodimer composed of one alpha and one beta chain.

Flow Cytometry

Flow Cytometry
Staining of normal human peripheral blood cells with 0.5 ug of FITC Mouse IgG1, K isotype control (open histogram) or 20 uL FITC anti-human CD8a (HIT8a) (colored histogram). Cells in the lymphocyte gate were used for analysis.
