Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

CD1A antibody was raised against human thymocytes.
Recognizes the human CD1a cell surface glycoprotein, a 49kD molecule expressed in association with beta 2 microglobulin. CD1a is expressed strongly by cortical thymocytes and also by Langerhans cells and interdigitating cells. Species cross-reactivity: Clone is reported to cross-react with canine veiled cells and Cynomolgus monkey.
Flow Cytometry: 1:50-1:100. Immunohistochemistry (frozen). Positive control: Skin.

Packaging

PBS, pH 7.2, 0.1% sodium azide.
Short term: 4°C. Long term: Store at -20°C. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
For research use only.

CD1A is a member of the CD1 family of transmembrane glycoproteins, which are structurally related to the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) proteins and form heterodimers with beta-2-microglobulin. The CD1 proteins mediate the presentation of primarily lipid and glycolipid antigens of self or microbial origin to T cells. The human genome contains five CD1 family genes organized in a cluster on chromosome 1.
