Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

CD14 antibody was raised against human thymocytes and peripheral blood mononuclear cells from an AML patient
The antibody detects a 55 kD GPI-linked glycoprotein structure predominantly on monocytes, macrophages and less strongly on granulocytes. Monocytic cells, interfollicular dendritic cells and dendritic reticulum cells are stained in sections of lymphoid tissue. The CD14 molecule is comprised of 365 amino acids and is anchored to the plasma membrane via a cleavable phosphoinositol linkage. CD14 is the LPS and LPS-binding protein receptor. Antigen distribution: Monocytes >98%; Granulocytes >60%; LGL-cells < 5%; Peripheral blood lymphocytes < 1%; T cells (CD3+) < 1%; B cells (CD20+) < 1%; Thymocytes < 1%. This antibody is positive on rhesus monkey PBLs in flow cytometry
Identification of monocytic cells by indirect immunofluorescence staining on frozen sections or flow cytometry. Identification of cells of monocyte lineage by immuno-histological staining of tissue sections. Study of follicular architecture in lymphoid ti

About CD14

P08571 NM_000591 NP_000582.1

CD14 Antibody, CD14 molecule Antibody, CD14 antigen Antibody

In concert with LBP, binds to monomeric lipopolysaccharide and delivers it to the MD-2/TLR4 complex, thereby mediating the innate immune response to bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS). Acts via MyD88, TIRAP and TRAF6, leading to NF-kappa-B activation, cytokine secretion and the inflammatory response. Up-regulates cell surface molecules, including adhesion molecules.
