  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

CCL8 / MCP2 antibody was raised against recombinant human monocyte chemotactic protein 2 (MCP2), expressed in E. coli.
By ELISA, the antibody shows < 20% cross-reactivity with recombinant human MCP1 and recombinant mouse MIP1 alpha. In addition, the antibody does not cross-react with other chemokines tested: rmC10, rhENA78, rhGRO alpha, rhGRO beta, rhGRO gamma, rmJE, rhI309, rhIL8, rhIP10, rhMIP1 alpha, rhMIP1 beta, rmMIP1 beta, rhMCP3, rhRANTES. Species cross-reactivity: Cross-reacts with Human and Mouse. Not yet tested in other species.
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.

PBS, pH 7.2. No preservative added.

This antimicrobial gene is one of several chemokine genes clustered on the q-arm of chromosome 17. Chemokines form a superfamily of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The superfamily is divided into four subfamilies based on the arrangement of N-terminal cysteine residues of the mature peptide. This chemokine is a member of the CC subfamily which is characterized by two adjacent cysteine residues.
