  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

BAX antibody was raised against synthetic peptide from mouse BAX.
Peptide-KLH, N-terminal
Immunohistochemistry: LS-B1949 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-B1949 was determined to be 1:50.

Phosphate-buffered solution, pH 7.2, 0.09% sodium azide, 0.2% gelatin.
Store undiluted at 4 degrees C. Do not freeze.
For research use only.

BAX Antibody, BCL2-associated X protein Antibody, Bcl2-L-4 Antibody, Apoptosis regulator BAX Antibody, Bcl-2-like protein 4 Antibody, BCL2L4 Antibody

Apoptosis plays a major role in normal organism development, tissue homeostasis, and removal of damaged cells. Disruption of this process has been implicated in a variety of diseases such as cancer. The Bcl-2 family of proteins is comprised of critical regulators of apoptosis that can be divided into two classes: those that inhibit apoptosis and those that promote cell death.

Anti-BAX antibody IHC of human adrenal. Immunohistochemistry of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue after heat-induced antigen retrieval. Antibody LS-B1949 dilution 1:50.

Western blot

Western blot
Hela cell extract was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose, and probed with rabbit anti-Bax polyclonal antibody. Proteins were visualized using a donkey anti-rabbit secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and a chemiluminescence system.
