Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Involved in autophagic vesicle formation. Conjugation with ATG12, through a ubiquitin-like conjugating system involving ATG7 as an E1-like activating enzyme and ATG10 as an E2-like conjugating enzyme, is essential for its function. The ATG12-ATG5 conjugate acts as an E3-like enzyme which is required for lipidation of ATG8 family proteins and their association to the vesicle membranes. Involved in mitochondrial quality control after oxidative damage, and in subsequent cellular longevity.

Immunohistochemistry

Immunohistochemistry
ATG5 Antibody immunohistochemistry of formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human stomach tissue followed by peroxidase-conjugated secondary antibody and DAB staining.

Immunofluorescence

Immunofluorescence
Fluorescent image of U251 cells stained with ATG5 antibody. U251 cells were treated with Chloroquine (50 mu M,16h), then fixed with 4% PFA (20 min), permeabilized with Triton X-100 (0.2%, 30 min). Cells were then incubated ATG5 primary antibody (1:200, 2 h at room temperature). For secondary antibody, Alexa Fluor 488 conjugated donkey anti-rabbit antibody (green) was used (1:1000, 1h). Nuclei were counterstained with Hoechst 33342 (blue) (10 ug/ml, 5 min). ATG5 immunoreactivity is localized to autophagic vacuoles in the cytoplasm of U251 cells.

Western blot

Western blot
Western blot of APG5 (arrow) using rabbit polyclonal APG5 Antibody. 293T cell lysates either nontransfected (Lane 1) or transiently transfected (Lane 2) with the APG5 gene.

Western blot

Western blot
ATG5 Antibody western blot of uterus tumor cell line lysates (35 ug/lane). The ATG5 antibody detected the ATG5 protein (arrow).

Western blot

Western blot
Western blot of lysate from K562 cell line, using APG5 Antibody. Antibody was diluted at 1:1000. A goat anti-rabbit IgG H&L (HRP) at 1:10000 dilution was used as the secondary antibody. Lysate at 20ug.
