Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

AP-1 / JUND antibody was raised against synthetic peptide CQLLPQHQVPAY from the C-terminus of human AP-1 / JUND (NP_005345.3). Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla, Monkey, Mouse, Rat, Bovine, Pig, Guinea pig, Chicken, Platypus (100%); Ferret, Panda (92%); Xenopus (83%).
aa336-347
Human AP-1 / JUND. This antibody is expected NOT to cross-react with Jun oncogen (NP_002219.1, GeneID 3725)
Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:64000. Western blot: Approx 40kD band observed in nuclear lysates of cell line NIH3T3 (calculated MW of 35.2kD according to NP_005345.3). The observed molecular weight corresponds to earlier findings in literature with different antibodies (Short and Pfarr, J Biol Chem. 2002 Sep 6.277(36):32697-705. PMID: 12105216). Recommended concentration: 1-3 ug/ml.

About AP-1 / JUND

P17535 NM_005354 NP_005345.3

JUND Antibody, Activator protein 1 Antibody, AP-1 Antibody, JunD-FL isoform Antibody, Jun D proto-oncogene Antibody, Transcription factor jun-D Antibody

The protein encoded by this intronless gene is a member of the JUN family, and a functional component of the AP1 transcription factor complex. This protein has been proposed to protect cells from p53-dependent senescence and apoptosis. Alternative translation initiation site usage results in the production of different isoforms (PMID:12105216).
