  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

AICAR / ATIC antibody was raised against ovalbumin-conjugated synthetic peptide AHTNLRLFHH. Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla, Orangutan, Gibbon, Monkey, Marmoset, Panda, Dog, Bovine, Horse, Rabbit, Pig, Xenopus, Drosophila, Beetle (100%); Mouse, Rat, Hamster, Bat, Opossum, Turkey, Chicken, Platypus, Stickleback, Mosquito (90%); Elephant, Salmon, Zebrafish, Seq squirt, Sea anemone, Ant, Nematode (80%).
Recognizes ATIC, otherwise known as AICAR, a ribonucleotide formyltransferase (5-aminoimidazole-4-carboxamide ribonucleotide formyltransferase) and member of the purH family, which helps catalyze the final steps of the purine biosynthesis pathway. ATIC has been identified as an activator of AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK), a known regulator of energy homeostasis, inhibitor of cell proliferation and inducer of apoptosis in cancerous cells of various origins, making ATIC a potential therapeutic agent for cancer. The anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective functions of ATIC, also have implications for its use in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease.
Western Blot: detects a band of approximately 65.0kD in HT29 and CACO-2 cell lysates.

PBS, pH 7.4, 0.09% sodium azide. Sourced in TCS.
Short term 4°C, long term aliquot and store at -20°C, avoid freeze thaw cycles.

ATIC Antibody, AICAR Antibody, AICARFT Antibody, IMPCHASE Antibody, PURH Antibody

AICAR / ATIC is a bifunctional protein that catalyzes the last two steps of the de novo purine biosynthetic pathway. The N-terminal domain has phosphoribosylaminoimidazolecarboxamide formyltransferase activity, and the C-terminal domain has IMP cyclohydrolase activity. A mutation in this gene results in AICA-ribosiduria.

Anti-ATIC antibody IHC of human small intestine. Immunohistochemistry of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue after heat-induced antigen retrieval. Antibody LS-B7299 concentration 10 ug/ml.
