Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to
worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting
immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.
TCR Screening Services
Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding.
Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".
Human, Rat (tested or 100% immunogen sequence identity)
IHC (1:100 - 1:300)
Western blot (1:500 - 1:1000)
Specificity and Use
ADRA2C antibody was raised against synthetic peptide comprising residues 309-324 [GAEGGAGGADGQGAGP] of the human Alpha 2c protein Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gibbon (100%); Monkey (88%).
Alpha-2C Adrenergic Receptor.
PBS, 0.02% sodium azide.
Long term: -20°C; Short term: +4°C. Avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.
Alpha-2-adrenergic receptors are members of the G protein-coupled receptor superfamily. They include 3 highly homologous subtypes: alpha2A, alpha2B, and alpha2C. These receptors have a critical role in regulating neurotransmitter release from sympathetic nerves and from adrenergic neurons in the central nervous system.
Alpha 2C staining in rat ventral spinal cord. Detection was done using HRP-AEC staining reagents (red color), and tissues were counterstained with hematoxylin (blue color). Working dilution is 1:100-1:300
Western blot detection of Alpha 2c in 20 ug of human brain lysate (lane 2) with Alpha 2c polyclonal at 1:1000 dilution followed by AP-conjugated secondary at 1:5000 dilution. MW marker in Lane 1.
