Specificity
Adrenomedullin (AM) is a potent hypotensive and vasodilatator agent found in human pheochromocytoma. AM inhibits basal ACTH secretion. The hormone precursor called preproadrenomedullin, is a 185-aa protein whereas the mature form is 52-aa long.
