  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

Collagen V antibody was raised against collagen Type V from human and bovine placenta
This antibody reacts with most mammalian Type V collagens and has negligible cross-reactivity with Type I, II, III, IV or VI collagens. Non-specific cross reaction of anti-collagen antibodies with other human serum proteins or non-collagen extracellular matrix proteins is negligible.

0.125 M sodium borate, 0.075 M sodium chloride, 0.005 M EDTA;, pH 8.0, 0.01% sodium azide.
Store at 4°C for short term applications. For long term storage, diluted with an equal volume of Glycerol and stored at -20°C.
For research use only.

About Collagen V

Type V collagen is a form of fibrillar collagen associated with classical Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. Autoimmunity against type V collagen is associated with lung transplant failure. There are three human genes associated with it: COL5A1, COL5A2, COL5A3.

Anti-Collagen V Antibody - Immunohistochemistry. anti-collagen V antibody (1:200, 45 min RT) showed strong staining in FFPE sections of human lung (left) with strong staining within alveoli, vessels, and in connective tissue spaces; and placenta (right) with strong staining observed in stromal and connective tissue spaces and vessel walls. Slides were steamed in 0.01 M sodium citrate buffer, pH 6.0 at 99-100°C - 20 minutes for antigen retrieval. Images provided courtesy of LifeSpan Biosciences, Seattle, WA.
