NRL

neural retina leucine zipper

NRL is a basic motif-leucine zipper transcription factor of the Maf subfamily. The encoded protein is conserved among vertebrates and is a critical intrinsic regulator of photoceptor development and function. Mutations in this gene have been associated with retinitis pigmentosa and retinal degenerative diseases.

Gene Name: neural retina leucine zipper
Synonyms: NRL, D14S46E, Neural retina leucine zipper, NRL-MAF, RP27
Target Sequences: NM_006177 NP_006168.1 P54845

NRL Antibody - Staining 293 cells by IF/ICC. The samples were fixed with PFA and permeabilized in 0.1% Triton X-100, then blocked in 10% serum for 45 min at 25°C. The primary antibody was diluted at 1:200 and incubated with the sample for 1 hour at 37°C. An Alexa Fluor 594 conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG (H+L) antibody, diluted at 1/600, was used as secondary antibody.
