IHC - Paraffin (5 µg/ml), ICC, Immunofluorescence (1:100 - 1:500), Western blot (1:250 - 1:1000), ELISA (1:2500 - 1:10000)
Specificity and Use
JAG1 / Jagged 1 antibody was raised against synthetic peptide corresponding to aa 110-125 of human Jagged-1protein.
Recognizes human Jagged1 (JAG1).
Immunohistochemistry: LS-B2442 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-B2442 was determined to be 5 ug/ml.
PBS, pH 7.2, 0.01% sodium azide.

The jagged 1 protein encoded by JAG1 is the human homolog of the Drosophila jagged protein. Human jagged 1 is the ligand for the receptor notch 1, the latter a human homolog of the Drosophila jagged receptor notch. Mutations that alter the jagged 1 protein cause Alagille syndrome. Jagged 1 signalling through notch 1 has also been shown to play a role in hematopoiesis.
