- The recombinant human TSPAN8 comprises 116 amino acids and has a predicted molecular mass of 13.4 kDa. The apparent molecular mass of the protein is approximately 17 and 13 kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions due to glycosylation. A DNA sequence encoding the human TSPAN8 (P19075) (Lys110-Asn205) was expressed with an N-terminal polyhistidine tag.
