Description

This RT-qPCR assay is designed for the detection of SARS-CoV-2 (2019 Novel Coronavirus) virus in a variety of sample types. Its high-specificity is achieved thought the used of dual primers and TaqMan probes targeting conserved regions of the SARS-CoV-2 (2019 Novel Coronavirus) RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRP) and Nucleocapsid (N) gene sequences. Following RNA extracted from samples, use this one-step assay to reverse transcribe the RNA and PCR amplify any target nucleic acids in order to quantitatively detect the presence of SARS-CoV-2. The kit uses human-derived ribonuclease P (RNP) as an internal control gene, which can monitor the sample collection and extraction process to avoid false negative generation to the greatest extent. The test is for Research Use Only and cannot be used as the basis for diagnosis or therapeutic treatment.
