Detection of Human Phospho SMC1 (Ser957) by Western Blot. Sample: Whole cell extracts from HeLa cells (30 ug/lane) that were irradiated with 10 Gy of ionizing radiation or mock irradiated. Irradiated lysate was then treated with calf intestinal phosphatase (CIP) or left untreated. Antibody: Affinity purified rabbit anti-SMC1 pSer957 used at 0.1 ug/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with 30 second exposure.
